What is Low Intensity Shock Wave Therapy?

Low Intensity Shock Wave Therapy is a painless and innovative treatment for vascular ED that has been used to treat ED since 2010. Low intensity shock waves are applied to different areas of the penis. The theory behind the mechanism of this treatment is that shock waves stimulate the creation of new blood vessels through micro-trauma. This improves the blood flow in the penis, which should improve the erectile capabilities.

Many patients report a noticeable improvement of their ability to achieve an erection within a few week.

For Peyronie’s Disease, shock waves are applied to different areas of the penis. A therapy device is used to introduce the shock waves into the body, where they exert their effect.

A major advantage of this treatment is the fact that it has virtually no risks or side effects.

Our Device

Our Clinic utilizes the Stortz Doulith SD1 T-TOP Focused Low Intensity shock wave device. It is Health Canada and FDA approved. Low intensity shock waves are considered the standard of care for Erectile Dysfunction (Not Radial Wave). Only low intensity focused shock waves have been proven in the treatment of ED.
